The Mission
What if you didn’t come from generations of Believers? What if you are one of the ones that conceptually knows about Jesus, but aren’t quite rooted in the heart of the Father yet? It’s hard to discern especially when first starting out, because we & the world places God in all kinds of boxes that He isn’t meant to be in. Instead of understanding the true identity of Jesus, we mistake Him for something else and can walk around with that looming misconception. The truth is when you do move forward with Christ just know He is going to take you on a journey to unlearn what we “think” and restore it with a life long encounter to witness the incredible plan over our lives.
When we began our own personal walk, we wanted to find some hard evidence that God existed. The need for facts before faith is an unfortunate byproduct of our culture. The question often is, where can we tangibly find the Living God in today’s world? The good news is God already knew in advance that we would need a reference, a guide, a place to go back to and pour ourselves into His word & teachings. Somewhere that a first generation of believers, or long standing generational families of believers could become established in an abundant heritage that was theirs to share in and continue to grow closer together in. Enter the Bible…
The more we spent time in the Word we became more and more astonished at how many common and every day sayings actually came from the Bible. When you start relating the phrases to points in history and how they start to connect the dots, the more apparent it became to us how intricately the stories in the Bible correlate on a level that can only be explained by a divine inspiration. Hence, the vision & mission of Proverb Clothing. We want to bring those well known expressions to the light and share the common sense aspect that God so intentionally placed right in front of all of us! This is our way to spread the Gospel…where people can share their favorite Proverb simply by wearing it and speaking truth when someone asks its' meaning!
